PROFILE
Dr. V. Amudhan is an Independent Director and global public transport governance expert with 33+ years of experience spanning India, Kuwait and the UAE. His career brings together board governance, public transport operations, institutional transformation, sustainable mobility, policy advisory and strategic consulting across public- and private-sector transport ecosystems.
Currently serving as an Independent Director on the Boards of major state-owned public transport and mobility companies in Tamil Nadu, India, he combines board-level governance perspective with extensive hands-on sector experience. His international career encompasses public transport assignments across India, Kuwait and Dubai, alongside consulting engagements involving organisations such as EY, PwC and Bahwan CyberTek.
An engineer, researcher, author and mobility thought leader, Dr. Amudhan's work spans public transport, sustainable mobility, road safety, electric mobility and emerging transport technologies. Through consulting, research, professional knowledge-sharing and published work, he has contributed to advancing industry dialogue and practice. His international engagement includes participation in major global mobility forums, including the 30th ITS World Congress in Dubai.
